It’s Official: WVC Nashville Opens Its Doors for the First Time

More than 400 hours of CE, 300+ exhibitors, hands-on training, Miranda Lambert and a brand-new Nashville education center are kicking off a new era for WVC.

The wait is officially over. WVC has arrived in Music City. Viticus Group is launching the inaugural WVC Nashville today, August 15, bringing its nearly century-long legacy of veterinary continuing education from Las Vegas to Nashville for the first time.

Running August 15–18 at the Music City Center, the new conference brings together veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers, students and other veterinary professionals for more than three days of education, networking and plenty of Nashville-style entertainment.

And Viticus Group isn't starting small.

400+ Hours of Veterinary CE

WVC Nashville attendees will have access to more than 400 hours of continuing education, along with an exhibit hall featuring more than 300 companies from across the veterinary industry. For those looking to get out of the lecture hall, more than 15 hands-on laboratory training experiences are also being offered at Viticus Group's new purpose-built Nashville education center. The hands-on labs require an additional purchase.

The goal is to give veterinary professionals different ways to learn, from traditional lectures to practical experiences that allow participants to develop skills they can take directly back to practice.

WVC Meets Music City

Of course, this is Nashville, so WVC isn't stopping with CE.The conference kicks off with the Nash Bash Block Party, followed by a General Session featuring country music superstar Miranda Lambert.The entertainment continues with Tails & Tunes, bringing a music festival atmosphere to the veterinary conference with performances from Blanco Brown, Uncle Kracker and Gretchen Wilson.It is all part of an effort to bring the energy WVC has become known for in Las Vegas to a completely different city.

Davis said opening WVC Nashville represents more than simply adding another conference location.

"We’ve led the way in Vegas for nearly a century, and we couldn't be more thrilled to kick off this exciting new chapter for Viticus Group in Nashville today."

WVC Is Putting Down Roots in Nashville

The conference also coincides with another major milestone for Viticus Group: the opening of its new Nashville education facilities.

Located approximately five minutes from Nashville International Airport and 15 minutes from the Music City Center, the expansion adds nearly 80,000 square feet of training space across adjacent education centers.

Once fully operational, Viticus Group expects the Nashville facilities and WVC Nashville to welcome more than 15,000 participants annually.

The Nashville centers are modeled after the organization's Las Vegas facilities and will focus heavily on hands-on, real-world training, including wet labs for veterinary professionals.

The location also gives Viticus Group a significantly larger presence in the eastern United States and makes its hands-on training programs more accessible to veterinary professionals who may not regularly travel west to Las Vegas.

A Second Home for WVC

WVC Nashville isn't replacing the organization's flagship Las Vegas conference.

The WVC Annual Conference will continue in Las Vegas and is approaching a major milestone of its own: its centennial celebration in 2028.

Instead, Nashville becomes a second home for WVC and an opportunity to bring the organization's educational model to another major veterinary market.

According to Viticus Group, WVC Nashville is the first new national veterinary continuing education conference launched in more than 40 years.

Nashville was selected in part because of its central location and the large concentration of veterinary professionals within the surrounding geographic region.

Major sponsors of the inaugural WVC Nashville include Boehringer Ingelheim, VEG, Zoetis, Elanco and Hill's, along with additional industry supporters.

A New Chapter Begins

For an organization that has been bringing veterinary professionals together in Las Vegas for nearly 100 years, opening a second major conference is a significant expansion.

And beginning today, thousands of veterinary professionals will get their first look at what happens when WVC meets Music City.

More than 400 hours of education. Hands-on labs. Hundreds of exhibitors. New training facilities. Live music. And four days surrounded by the veterinary community.

WVC Nashville has officially arrived.
