The LatinxVMA Is Growing — And They Want You
If you have been waiting for a sign to step into leadership, this is it.
The Latinx Veterinary Medical Association is officially opening its membership drive — and they are not just looking for members. They are looking for leaders. People who are ready to show up, take a seat at the table, and help shape the future of one of the most important organizations in veterinary medicine right now.
The LatinxVMA was built around a simple but powerful idea: that Latinx veterinary professionals deserve a community that sees them, supports them, and actively works to advance their careers and their leadership in this profession. Membership in the LatinxVMA means joining a growing network of veterinarians, vet techs, students, and advocates who are committed to that mission — and to each other.
But right now, the organization needs more than members. It needs people willing to lead.
The LatinxVMA is actively seeking passionate, committed individuals to fill four key leadership positions: Secretary, Membership Chair, Communications, and President Elect. These are not ceremonial titles. These are hands-on roles that will directly shape the direction, growth, and visibility of the organization. Whether you are someone who loves keeping things organized and running smoothly, someone with a gift for connecting people and building community, someone who knows how to craft a message and get it out into the world, or someone with a vision for what this organization could become — there is a role here with your name on it.
And before you talk yourself out of it, no prior board or leadership experience is required. The LatinxVMA is actively welcoming new voices and fresh perspectives. Training and support will be provided. What they are looking for is passion, commitment, and a genuine desire to make an impact. The rest can be learned.
This is what it looks like when a community invests in itself. When professionals who have historically been underrepresented in leadership decide that is going to change. When the next generation of Latinx leaders in veterinary medicine decides to stop waiting and start building.
If you are ready to get involved — or even just curious about what these roles look like — reach out directly at info@latinxvma.com. They want to hear from you.
The table is being set. Pull up a chair.
