New topical prevents Aelurostrongylosis in cats for 12 weeks
A new study finds that a single dose of fluralaner and moxidectin combination topical solution for cats was effective at preventing Aelurostrongylosis for at least 12 weeks. The study used three different preventatives in a negative controlled, randomized, partially blinded laboratory efficacy study of thirty-one cats. This is fantastic news as the feline lungworm Aelurostrongylus infections can lead to chronic respiratory changes or even death if left untreated. Cats with outdoor access are recommended to receive preventative treatment.
