What triggers seizures in epileptic dogs?
A study published in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine found that seizure-precipitating factors are common in dogs with idiopathic epilepsy. The most common triggers included stress-related situations, sleep deprivation, weather, and hormonal factors, which is similar to triggers found in human epileptics.
