Study examines veterinary views on CBD for pets.
The Veterinary Information Network (VIN) recently published a study that gauged US veterinarians' perspective on the use of cannabinoids in the medical treatment of dogs. More than 2000 veterinarians participated in an anonymous, online survey.
Highlights of the study showed that only 45.5% of veterinarians felt comfortable discussing CBD with clients. CBD was most frequently discussed as a potential treatment for pain management, anxiety and seizures. While no differences were found with the location of the practice, recent graduates were less comfortable discussing the topic.
