Factors associated with job satisfaction and engagement for vet techs

Researchers evaluated survey results from 873 Certified Veterinary Technicians in 2017 about their job satisfaction.

Factors associated with low levels of job satisfaction included working overnight shifts and large numbers of veterinarians in the practice. Holding a supervisory role, receiving a higher hourly wage, and having more veterinary technicians in the practice were significantly associated with higher individual engagement and higher job satisfaction.
