PBI-Gordon Companies, Inc. the parent company of TriviumVet, which holds sole conditional approval from the FDA for Felycin®-CA1 (sirolimus delayed-release tablets) sold under the PRN Pharmacal brand of its affiliated company Pegasus, today announced the product is now available via licensed veterinarians nationwide. PBI-Gordon Companies, Inc. confirms that Felycin®-CA1 is the only drug currently legally marketed under conditional approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the management HCM in cats.

The National Association for Black Veterinarians (NABV) hosted its Fifth Annual Conference and Scholarship Gala on June 5–7, 2025, at the JW Marriott in New Orleans. This milestone event featured keynote speaker Dr. Robert Livingston, dynamic sessions on veterinary innovation and diversity, networking opportunities, and an Innovation Showcase. Attendees included veterinary professionals, students, and industry leaders from across the country. The 2026 NABV Conference is scheduled for June 25–27, again in New Orleans. All Hail the Chief! Dr. Michael Bailey Is AVMA’s New President
Dr. Michael Q. Bailey has made history as the first Black president of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), marking a major milestone in veterinary medicine. Overcoming the challenges of undiagnosed dyslexia and limited support, Dr. Bailey earned his DVM from Tuskegee University and went on to specialize in veterinary radiology. His career spans academia, telemedicine leadership, and advocacy for diversity in the profession. His election highlights both his personal achievements and the ongoing need for greater inclusion in veterinary medicine, following in the footsteps of trailblazers like Dr. William Waddell, the AVMA’s first Black member.
