Chewy Health Partners to Launch Online Community for Veterinary Technician Educators
The Association of Veterinary Technician Educators (AVTE) and Chewy Health announced a new strategic collaboration today at the AVTE 2025 Annual Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. As part of the partnership, AVTE will develop a dedicated online community for veterinary technician educators, with initial funding and support from Chewy Health.
The upcoming platform is intended to function as a central hub for educators to share resources, discuss professional challenges, and engage with peers. It will include features such as discussion boards, classroom tools, and mentorship opportunities, offering users a virtual space for collaboration and support.
Chewy Health will contribute to the platform's launch and ongoing development by participating in discussions and sharing educational content. The platform is scheduled to launch in late 2025 and will be accessible to AVTE members.
“This platform aims to provide veterinary technician educators with new opportunities to connect and collaborate,” said AVTE President Tricia Gorham, FVTE. “We appreciate the support from Chewy Health in helping to move this initiative forward.”
Mita Malhotra, President of Chewy Health, added, “Providing access to educational resources is one way we can help support those working in veterinary education. We hope this partnership helps create a more connected and supported educator community.”
The collaboration is expected to encourage broader industry participation, with AVTE and Chewy Health expressing interest in involving additional organizations in the platform’s development and use. As AVTE explores new ways to support its members, this initiative represents one step toward enhancing engagement across the veterinary technician education community.
