Missing the spa? Try this instead

With the recent pandemic, it's safe to say visiting the spa has been out of the question. Most locations have been forced to close indefinitely, and even those that are open leave the question of safety in a time where just being too close to another person is dangerous. If you're missing the spa right now, here are a few tips you can use to bring the spa to your own home.

Clean your bathroom

If you're planning to have your spa experience in the bedroom, bathroom, or other specific area in your home—clean that area up. Toothpaste on the counter or dirty laundry on the floor can ruin your experience, or at best distract from it. There's no need to go into a huge deep clean, but definitely clean it up.

Customize it

The benefit of doing your spa treatment is that you really can do it your way. Do you feel most relaxed in a bath? Center your experience around a good long soak. Do you feel best taking care of your hands and face? You can do a hair mask and manicure in front of your favorite show. Take the time to figure out what you like the most about spa days, and make that the center of your experience.

Get your favorite masks

There are a lot of treatment options to spoil yourself and your skin. Face masks, eye masks, hair masks, and even feet masks can all revitalize your body and make you feel whole again. Finish it off with a shower and a moisturizing treatment, and you'll feel like a new person.

You don't have to cancel self care because the spas are closed. An at home spa treatment can feel just as good, and in some cases better because you can control every detail of your experience.
