How to know if he's right for you

Dating is never easy. It can be a struggle to decide whether the man you are with is the right one, especially in the early days when they're still careful to show their best sides. If you've dated a few bad apples in the past and are worried about dating another one, or you're simply wondering if he's really Mr. Right, here are a few tips on how to tell.

You feel comfortable discussing problems with him

If a man dismisses your views, or only wants you to agree with him, he's not a great choice. Even if you have different views on a subject, being able to discuss the topic is a good sign you have a strong relationship. 

He can get along with your family

If you don't get along with your own family, it's understandable if he doesn't also. If however, you were blessed to have a loving family that cares deeply for you, a man who doesn't get along with them can drive a wedge between you and them.

If family ties are important to you, choosing someone who can get along with your family is critical to a long term relationship.

He supports you

A good man is also willing to support you in your passions. If you want to lose weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle, a man that sabotages your efforts is only going to hold you back. Likewise a man who gets jealous of your career surpassing his, or can't abide you taking care of the environment or having pets when these are things you love will make for a miserable relationship.

A man who supports you will support your goals in life, even if he's not a runner or a career man himself.
