Sheba, the Mars-owned cat food brand, just launched a campaign called Ignored to Adored, a 12-day program promising to help cat owners strengthen their bond with their cats through the right food and the right approach. It features actress Haley Lu Richardson, who got a tattoo of her cat Darbin and wrote him a poem, and whose cat, by all accounts, remains completely unmoved.

Dogs fed on premium, meat-rich pet food can have a bigger dietary carbon pawprint than their owners, according to the largest study into dog food’s climate impact.
Brewed chicken protein made by precision fermentation tested in pet food
Scientists at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Bond Pet Foods, Inc., in Boulder, Colorado, partnered on the project. The study is believed to be the first to use precision fermentation to produce a protein composed of both yeast and chicken protein and assess its safety in pet food. Precision fermentation has been used for nearly half a century to produce ingredients like enzymes for manufacturing cheese, vanilla and vitamin B12.
