AmeriVet and ScribbleVet Partner to Transform Veterinary Workflow with AI-Powered Tools

In a significant step toward modernizing veterinary workflows, AmeriVet Veterinary Partners has announced a new partnership with ScribbleVet, a real-time AI scribe platform. This collaboration is set to roll out across AmeriVet’s 213 hospitals, equipping more than 650 veterinarians and technicians with AI-powered tools to streamline documentation and support clinical decisions.

At the heart of this initiative is the growing concern over burnout among veterinary professionals. With studies showing that veterinarians spend up to 30% of their time on administrative tasks, the pressure of documentation has become a major contributor to career dissatisfaction and workforce attrition. ScribbleVet’s technology aims to relieve that burden by automating note-taking and reducing after-hours charting—allowing clinicians to focus on patient care, not paperwork.

“Veterinarians didn’t enter this profession to do data entry,” said Dr. Whitney Miller, Chief Medical Officer at AmeriVet. “ScribbleVet removes that burden, letting our teams focus on what truly matters—exceptional patient outcomes.”

Already deployed in several hospitals, ScribbleVet’s platform automatically generates SOAP notes during patient visits with an accuracy rate of 94%. These notes sync directly with existing practice management systems, creating a seamless workflow that not only saves time but also improves accuracy. The system’s clinical decision support feature further enhances its utility by flagging drug interactions and suggesting evidence-based treatments.

Beyond time savings, this technology may help address deeper systemic issues in veterinary medicine. The AVMA predicts a shortage of 15,000 veterinarians in the U.S. by 2030. At the same time, nearly half of all practicing veterinarians report symptoms of severe burnout, often linked to non-clinical workload. By shifting documentation tasks to AI, AmeriVet and ScribbleVet hope to improve job satisfaction and help retain skilled professionals in the field.

For Rohan Relan, CEO of ScribbleVet, the partnership represents a larger movement toward intelligent clinical support in veterinary settings. “AmeriVet’s system-wide adoption validates AI’s role in modern veterinary medicine,” he said. “This scales our mission to combat burnout industry-wide.”

This move also positions AmeriVet at the forefront of technological adoption in veterinary care. As one of the first major networks to integrate AI scribing at scale, the company is laying the groundwork for future innovations. These may include AI-assisted imaging, client-facing chatbot triage, and remote monitoring tools for chronic conditions.

With full deployment expected by the end of 2025, AmeriVet’s investment in ScribbleVet is more than a tech upgrade—it’s a commitment to reimagining what daily veterinary practice can look like. By embracing automation and intelligent support, AmeriVet aims to improve both the clinician experience and the standard of care delivered to patients.
