Share Your NAVLE Experience with Vet Candy
According to the ICVA, if you believe that your exam administration or testing conditions — such as a fire alarm, nearby band rehearsal, or closed restrooms — negatively affected your performance, you have the right to request an investigation. To do so, you must submit a written request to mail@icva.net within 10 business days of your test date. Include your test date, location, and a detailed description of the issue, and be sure to file a complaint with Prometric staff on-site before leaving the testing center.
It’s also important to consider whether your exam reflected the official NAVLE species blueprint, which is designed to match real-world veterinary practice. The target distribution includes approximately 25.6% canine, 24.3% feline, 14.7% equine, 13.3% bovine, 5% porcine, 3.3% other small mammals, 3.3% ovine or caprine, 2.3% pet bird, 2% poultry, 2% non-species specific, 1.7% camelid or cervidae, 1.5% reptiles, and 1% aquatics. If your exam differed significantly from this breakdown, it may also be worth reporting to the ICVA.
Keep in mind that grievances submitted after the 10-day window, or without the proper documentation, will not be considered. For complete details, visit the ICVA FAQ page.
Your input helps ensure that the NAVLE remains fair, balanced, and reflective of the veterinary field — and it helps Vet Candy continue to provide top-quality prep support.
